About South Ockendon:
South Ockendon was once a village before the Norman Conquest. In modern times South Ockendon has become a town within the Thurrock borough in Essex. It is on the border with Greater London. It has great commuting links to London, via Junction 30, M25, A13 and A127 and Ockendon train station is on the C2C Fenchurch Street line. The area offers its residents, a variety of ‘outstanding’ & ‘good’ primary and secondary schools graded by OFSTED, with good local amenities and woodland areas. South Ockendon benefits from being close to Lakeside, Bluewater & Stratford shopping centres and is receiving further re-generation in the area with new housing developments.
